6/6/17 Practice Report

Venue: C16 PCGHS

Time: 9.00 a.m. – 3:00p.m.

The June group competition is just around the corner! With judges from Taiwan, our school is sending out three teams to compete against the rest of Penang. One of which is a trio and the other two being quartets, all pieces requiring both technique and accurate articulation.

    Despite Trumpet Concerto no. 3 being extremely advanced, I am glad I chose it as I realised that I could achieve anything if I put my mind to it.

    6 hours of practice may seem taxing but I feel like we really improved a lot these past few weeks!

    I never thought someone as petite as I could handle such a heavy instrument as a bass harmonica, but I guess I really underestimated myself! There’s this surge of confidence in my new discovery of talents that I can’t really put my finger on…
